At 6:02 tonight we officially ended 2020 Summer swimming 11/17/2020

It has to be noted that in a pandemic we were able to swim outdoors for 6 amazing months and only cancelled 4 practices in that time. Two were cancelled because of a heater that was off and temps in the 30s. Truly a miracle.

We are going to continue inside as long as we are permitted, but the schedule offers fewer practices in the coming week; we will outline December when we have a better idea of what December will look like.

To all of you-- thank you. For being the best of teammates. There were swimmers nervous, others exposed or with family members home being tested. There was water almost in the 90s in July (Too hot) and then in the lowish and maybe belowish 70s in November (too cold). We welcomed many new members and adopted local pooless swimmers. You were all so gracious; and you always made me laugh.

There will be many memories of 2020. Of toilet paper and fear. Of zoom. Of politics and protests. But this summer (defined as June to LATE November) swimming outside has been the best of COVID. Thank you FFH and coaches. You are a special kind of herd.
